Brolga Project wins Business Category in Australian Telecommunications Users Awards
The fledgling Brolga Project is proud to be the winner of the 2010 Business Awards for the effective use of Broadband.
The award was presented at a Gala Celebration in Sydney on Thursday, March 11, and founder of the project Mr Richard Cowley was astounded at the win.
Congratulating others in the awards, he said that he was proud to be among a very creditable competition.
"There were some very big names in the mix, and some extraordinary innovative small companies, all nominating for a range of awards," he said.
‘After the announcement and through the evening people were coming up to me and asking about the project," he said.

Speaking for the organisers, Rosemary Sinclair congratulated the winners and noted ‘As Australia heads into the National Broadband Network and the emerging Digital Economy, the 2010 Award winners point to the power of advanced communications services and broadband in making a real difference.'
Mr Cowley said that to pick up an award so early in the project's development was a real boon to the endeavour of placing tertiary students into regional and rural work experience positions.
"As a start-up initiative, recognition such as this lends enormous support to what we're trying to do.
"It's a colossal vote of confidence in the project and the philosophy behind it, and we are very grateful for and proud of this award," he concluded.
